HUNTINGTON, NY — The lamp posts outside Huntington Town Hall were illuminated blue for autism awareness, the Town of Huntington stated.

“Promoting awareness, understanding and inclusion will help us achieve a world where all people with autism can reach their full potential,” Supervisor Ed Smyth said.

Every April is World Autism Month. "Light It Up Blue" was launched by Autism Speaks in 2010, and it kicked off annually on World Autism Awareness Day on April 2.
