ICYMI: H-Ton Hospital Recognized For Top Fragility Fracture Care

HUNTINGTON, NY — For the second straight year, Huntington Hospital has been named a star performer by the American Orthopaedic Association's "Own the Bone" program for its top-notch care of patients with fragility fractures, according to a press release from Northwell Health.

Fragility fractures are caused by osteoporosis, metabolic bone disease or other bone density weaknesses. Huntington Hospital aims to ensure people do not experience these fractures or re-injure themselves and met the stringent criteria to be an "Own the Bone" star performer while doing so.
