  1. Levi's to hold grand opening this weekend at Walt Whitman Shops. The clothing store officially opened yesterday and will be celebrating all weekend. There will be free cookies from Bliss Pastries for patrons to enjoy. The first 150 customers will receive a complimentary Levi’s Huntington Station tee and each purchase will come with a complimentary tote bag. For those that spend over $150. they will be gifted a recycled sail cloth pouch. (Huntington Patch)
  2. Fuel trucks given summonses at Huntington Station checkpoint Wednesday. Fourteen fuel trucks were checked at the Long Island Railroad parking lot, and 39 summonses were given. Four of the trucks were placed out of service and the 39 summonses included 11 environmental conservation violations; seven weight violations; and one for an unsealed meter. (Huntington Patch)
  3. ICYMI: A GoFundMe account was set up for the Huntington Station father of four killed in a stabbing. Roque Cisneros, 58, was stabbed to death on Oakwood Road last week by a family friend following an altercation. Karina Trejos Cisneros, Roque's niece, has set up the GoFundMe which has already raised $28,000. If you would like to donate, click the link to access the fundraiser. (Huntington Patch)
