LONG ISLAND CONTRACTORS' ASSOCIATION HONORS HON. PETER GUNTHER AT FALL PUBLIC PARTNER LEADERSHIP BREAKFAST
Former U.S. Senator Alfonse M. D'Amato Delivers Keynote Speech

The Long Island Contractors Association (LICA) honored Hon. Peter Gunther Superintendent of Highways, Town of Huntington at their Fall Public Partner Leadership Breakfast for his tireless work ensuring roadways, highways and bridges throughout his municipality are safe and smooth despite difficult budgetary issues and weather-related challenges.
LICA Chairman Jim Pratt of Pratt Brothers Inc. presented Gunther with a personalized model wooden payloader recognizing the hard work and commitment of Hon. Peter Gunther and the members of his department in providing service to their municipality.
“It is imperative to have a symbiotic relationship with our public partners in order to provide the citizens of Long Island with safe and smooth roadways,” said LICA Executive Director Marc Herbst. “Being able to perform the tough task of keeping Long Island’s roads, highways and bridges in top shape despite destructive weather patterns, often with insufficient or uncertain funding sources is a credit to all of our public partners.”
