Lupinacci Attends Field Days Hosted by Larkfield Amateur Radio CLub
Lupinacci with Dr. Peter S. DeLuca at LARC's annual field day event

This past weekend, Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) joined the Larkfield Amateur Radio Club (LARC) for its annual Amateur Radio Field Days. Held at West Hills Park in Melville, this event hosted hundreds of radio enthusiasts from across Long Island as they participated in multiple radio activities. These activities included using the radios to communicate, demonstrating how pivotal radios are to community disaster preparedness.
“Each year, I attend LARC’s event and have an outstanding time participating in the many radio activities offered to our residents,” Lupinacci said. “I enjoyed learning about the profound role that radio can play in emergency situations as well as the utility behind this hobby.”
Dr. Peter S. DeLuca, a local LARC member, has been an outspoken advocate for the role amateur radio can play when alternative communications lines are out of commission.
