Yesterday, Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) joined the New York State Legislature in recognizing the importance of the dairy and agricultural industries throughout New York. “Dairy Day” was held in the Legislative Office Building and was celebrated by legislators, staff and dairy advocates.
“It is always important to remember that New York State remains a major agricultural powerhouse, especially as it pertains to dairy,” Lupinacci said. “With over a million cows throughout our great state, our economy is significantly impacted and stimulated by dairy.
“I would like to thank the farmers and small-businesses who shared some of their delicious dairy products, including ice cream, yogurt, milk and cheese, produced right here in New York, and encourage all our residents on Long Island to shop local and support New York farmers.”
