Lupinacci Celebrates Flag Day With Huntington Elks and Local Boy Scouts
Lupinacci addresses members of the local community at the Huntington Elks Lodge Flag Day ceremony

Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) recently joined the Huntington Elks Lodge in celebration and observance of Flag Day. The ceremony was attended by veterans and representatives from Suffolk County Boy Scouts of America troops. At the event, Lupinacci spoke on the importance of Flag Day.
“Flag Day is a day to honor our national symbol. By honoring the Stars and Stripes we are honoring our country,” Lupinacci said. “The American flag is an enduring symbol of freedom and a beacon for liberty, for hope, and opportunity.
“The greatest honor we can pay our flag is to cherish our citizenship and fulfill the responsibilities of being an American, and, as we did on Memorial Day, never forget that our flag flies because of the sacrifices of many. I applaud the Huntington Elks, the Boy Scouts of America and the many distinguished veterans who joined us to honor the American flag and the brave men and women who have sacrificed to defend it,” Lupinacci said.
