Lupinacci Collecting Toys, Supplies in Huntington

Huntington residents can help make a difference for local children and babies in time for the holidays.
Assemb. Chad Lupinacci (R,C,WF,I-Huntington Station) is holding two initiatives to help brighten the season. Project Toy is a partnership with Family Service League and Tri-Community & Youth Agency, that collects new unwrapped toys. And Caring for Children collects needed supplies for little ones.

“The best part of public service is helping to improve the lives of our smallest and most vulnerable residents – children and babies,” Lupinacci said, in a statement. “It is such a joy to conduct these annual drives and, especially during the holiday season, it is heartwarming to be reminded of the generosity of our community.”
Project Toy drive collects new, unwrapped toys for children through the age of 13. In addition to new, unwrapped toys, the project also accepts gift cards, new wrapping paper and financial contributions.

Caring for Children drive collects new items for infants and toddlers, including diapers, baby wipes, bottles, formula and blankets. This drive also accepts gently-used playpens and strollers as well as new and unwrapped toys.
Those wishing to make a donation may do so now through Friday, Dec. 12, at Lupinacci’s office, located at 630 New York Avenue, Suite D, in Huntington.
