LUPINACCI CONCERNED WITH NYS HIGH PROPERTY TAXES
Lupinacci reiterates his concerns with New York State's high property taxes

Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) reiterated his concerns with New York State’s high property taxes after a recent report claimed that New York has the 11th highest property taxes in the U.S.
“Taxpayers simply cannot afford to live in New York anymore, especially on Long Island, which has some of the highest property taxes in the nation,” said Lupinacci. “It’s time to take action and make living more affordable. We cannot stand idly by any longer and watch New York’s families move away,” Lupinacci said.
In June, Lupinacci supported legislation that extended the property tax cap, which has saved New Yorkers over $7 billion since it was created. The tax cap was extended for four more years and will accompany $1.3 billion in property tax rebates for homeowners.

“As a lifelong resident of Long Island, I understand the struggle homeowners face as they pay insurmountable property taxes each year. I will continue to push for ‘pro-taxpayer’ legislation in Albany to take the burden off of hardworking, taxpaying homeowners in New York State,” concluded Lupinacci.
