Lupinacci Congratulates New Regents Chancellor Betty Rosa

Assemblyman is hopeful that Rosa will continue 'her hard work and stays true to the anti-Common Core movement' in new role

The following is a statement from Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci (R, C, I - South Huntington) :
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On Monday, the New York Board of Regents elected a new chancellor of education. I want to congratulate Chancellor Betty Rosa on her election and wish her all the success in future endeavors. Chancellor Rosa has been a longtime critic of Common Core and strong backer of the opt-out movement. I am hopeful she continues her hard work and stays true to the anti-Common Core movement.

It is time to return control back to our local schools and stop forcing a testing regiment that takes longer than the bar exam upon our children. With Chancellor Rosa’s election, I am hopeful we are on the path to reforming education in this state and doing away with the unpopular agenda of the previous administration.
