LUPINACCI DISAPPOINTED IN LATEST PUBLIC INTEGRITY RATING

D- grade in 2015 Center for Public Integrity report underscores need for sweeping reform

“While unfortunate, it’s not surprising that the state received such poor marks, especially after an historic reign of corruption over the past decade,” said Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci (R, C, I – South Huntington). “This rating should be a clear reminder that New York State needs and deserves more openness and transparency in government. These dismal ratings will continue unless we finally take action and pass meaningful legislation like the Public Officers Accountability Act, which sets higher ethical standards for lawmakers and creates greater transparency in Albany.”
