LUPINACCI JOINS VOLUNTEERS FOR THANKSGIVING TURKEY GIVEAWAY
Lupinacci lent a hand at the Sorrentino family's annual Thanksgiving turkey giveaway, held at PAS Auto body in Huntington.
Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) lent a helping hand Monday night at an event which made the Thanksgiving holiday brighter for hundreds of local families.
He was on hand for the Sorrentino family’s annual Thanksgiving turkey giveaway, held at PAS Auto body in Huntington, joining a team of town and county elected officials and dozens of volunteers in the effort.
“Every year, I am more and more amazed at the selfless and giving nature of our community,” Lupinacci said. “A few years ago, this event was hosted out of the back of a pickup truck – today, we have more than 600 turkeys to donate to families in need. Once again, the residents of Huntington have come together to support families in the spirit of giving.”

Local businesses and fire departments also volunteered their time at the event, which was the result of a partnership between the Sorrentinos and the Suffolk County Police Department.
“What an astounding display of unity and community in Huntington,” Lupinacci said. “I would like to thank PAS Auto Body, the Sorrentino Family, 7-Eleven, Johnny D’s Pizza, Blondie’s Cookies, and the Huntington, Huntington Manor and Halesite Fire Departments for their contributions in making tonight possible. Helping one another is inspirational and encouraging, especially as we begin the holiday season.”
