LUPINACCI: LEGISLATURE MUST UNIFY IN BATTLE AGAINST HEROIN EPIDEMIC

“I applaud the Senate for joining our efforts and their quick action in addressing the devastating heroin and opioid epidemic that’s touching all corners of our community. Today, Senate Majority Leader Flanagan, Senator Marcellino and their colleagues passed legislation aimed at finding solutions to heroin addiction, something the Assembly Majority has yet to do.

“In January, my colleagues and I held forums across the state to better understand this epidemic and develop a responsive plan. Without a unified approach to curing this disease, the illness will only continue to spread. We must think about what is best for our families and join the Senate in passing comprehensive legislation before it is too late.”
