Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci (R,C,I – South Huntington) welcomed librarians from the 10th Assembly District to Albany on March 2.

With information at people’s fingertips in their homes and on their phones, libraries have adapted in order to continue thriving in the digital age. Recently, the Haborfields Public Library, in conjunction with Lupinacci, Assemblyman Andrew Raia and Suffolk County, hosted an opioid overdose prevention program and naloxone training class for dozens of residents.

“Libraries continue to be a pillar of the community, and providing them with the necessary funds to continue operating is vitally important,” Lupinacci said. “I want the children of our community to have the same fond memories of reading and learning in libraries that so many of my colleagues and I did growing up.”
