LUPINACCI MEETS WITH SUFFOLK COUNTY PARENT LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE
Lupinacci joins Suffolk County Parent Leadership Initiative to discuss the impact they have on local youth.

Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) recently joined the members of the Parent Leadership Initiative of Suffolk County to discuss the state of New York, the Assembly and legislation pertinent to the lives of families throughout New York State. The Parent Leadership Initiative is a preparedness program that teaches parents of various backgrounds how to become leaders within their communities. They also learn how to navigate the world of government, work with the media and communicate with local civic groups. The program originated in Huntington over 20 years ago and has been successfully duplicated in towns such as Islip, Babylon, Southampton and Brookhaven.
After speaking on the makeup and functionality of the New York State Legislature, Lupinacci discussed topics such as education, higher education, ethics reforms and voter enrollment.
“It is important to meet with dedicated men and women who are committed to bringing solutions to issues that face our youth today,” Lupinacci said. “Each member of the Parent Leadership Initiative has their own individual project that will impact the lives of today’s young people and I applaud their consistent efforts. I am inspired by their selfless and tireless motivation to build successful programs that help our community,” Lupinacci said.
