LUPINACCI NAMED TO NY FARM BUREAU'S "CIRCLE OF FRIENDS"
Lupinacci was recently named to the New York Farm Bureau's distinguished "Circle of Friends."

Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R, C, I – South Huntington) was recently named to the New York Farm Bureau’s distinguished “Circle of Friends,” an honor for state lawmakers who have supported pro-agriculture and pro-farm legislation in 2015.
“Since the Colonial era, the agricultural sector has been one of our nation’s strongest industries. In fact, I am proud to represent a portion of Suffolk County that consistently ranks among the state’s strongest agricultural centers,” Lupinacci said. “Long Island is blessed with tremendous fertile land and natural resources, two components that are crucial to the success of the agricultural sector of our state’s economy.”
The Assemblyman said that, within the 10th Assembly District, horticultural programs such as the Urban Horticulture and Design have attracted the interests of many students, especially at Farmingdale State College.

“Over the past few months, I have toured the Gardens at Farmingdale State where they are using cutting-edge technologies to bring our agricultural sector into the future,” Lupinacci said.
The greatest threat to the agricultural community, he added, is not a voracious insect, but something just as destructive – bureaucracy and overregulation.

“It’s my role as a lawmaker to be sure our state’s agriculture industry is protected from higher taxes and more red tape, and I’m honored the New York Farm Bureau recognized my commitment,” Lupinacci said. “New York State is home to some of the nation’s best farmlands, and with the help of the New York Farm Bureau, we’ve worked to create new ideas to support our agriculture industry by creating jobs and encouraging young people to pursue careers in farming. I will continue to work to protect local farms and agriculture businesses during the 2016 Legislative Session.”
