Lupinacci, Raia Welcome Groundbreaking Ambassador To N.Y. Assembly

Lily L.W. Hsu, of the Taipei Economic and Culture Office, is first woman to serve as agency's Ambassador.

Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) recently greeted Ambassador Lily L.W. Hsu of the Taipei Economic and Culture Office on the Assembly Floor. Ambassador Hsu assumed the role of Ambassador and Director General of the Taipei Economic and Culture Office in New York in January this year. Hsu is the first female to assume this role.

“While serving in Albany, I am granted the opportunity to meet many important figures of New York’s various communities,” said Lupinacci. “Ambassador Hsu is a barrier breaker becoming the first female to serve in her new position and it was an honor to speak with her. I want to congratulate her and wish her success in her new role. ”
