LUPINACCI WELCOMES HIS ST. JOSEPH'S COLLEGE STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT CLASS TO ALBANY

Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) recently welcomed eight students from his State and Local Government course at St. Joseph’s College to Albany for a tour of the State Capitol and Legislative Office Building. During the tour, the students met with legislative leaders and staff to discuss Albany, politics and the legislative process. They were also afforded access to both the Assembly and Senate Chambers.

“I was so proud to have my State and Local Government students in Albany to learn about the inner mechanics of the New York State government. The students’ deep interest in politics and government were apparent throughout the day,” Lupinacci said. “This course is all about beginning the conversation about the importance of local politics. If this tour was any indication, we will have some very passionate and well-informed voters in the future.

“I want to thank St. Joseph’s College for its support of this ‘Albany Day.’ I’ve often advocated for ways to incorporate real world learning into our curriculum and believe this is a perfect example of that,” Lupinacci said.
