LUPINACCI'S CLEAR LEGISLATIVE VISION HONORED BY OPHTHALMOLOGISTS
Lupinacci was recently recognized by the New York State Ophthalmological Society (NYSOS).
Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) was recently recognized by the New York State Ophthalmological Society (NYSOS), which presented him their 2015 Outstanding Legislator Award. This award recognized the Assemblyman’s “commitment to quality medical care and efforts to protect and promote the ocular health and safety of New Yorkers.”
Ophthalmologists perform routine eye exams and eye surgeries, diagnose and treat disease, prescribe medications and write prescriptions for eyeglasses and contact lenses.
“I am truly honored to accept the NYSOS 2015 Outstanding Legislator Award. As the Assemblyman for the 10th District, my district encompasses the towns of Huntington and Babylon, both of which are homes for many ophthalmological practices. I am proud and humbled by their recognition and will continue to represent the best interests of all New Yorkers when session re-convenes in January,” Lupinacci said.

The award was presented during the organization’s November 30 meeting at The Inn at Fox Hollow in Woodbury.
“Associations like the NYSOS and its Long Island branch (LIOS) help our region excel in ophthalmological practice. Through hard work, sharing of ideas and cutting edge technologies, I am certain that groups such as NYSOS and LIOS will help New York state lead the way in ophthalmology,” he said.
