Man Killed After Medical Event Causes Crash Into Tree In Huntington

BREAKING: A Huntington Station man was killed in the Tuesday afternoon crash.

A 59-year-old man was killed after police say he suffered a medical emergency while driving and crashed his car into a tree on Tuesday afternoon.

According to authorities, Robert Manigaulte, of Huntington Station, was driving a white 2005 Chrysler Town and Country southbound on Woodbury Road, south of Carley Avenue, when he suffered an apparent medical event, crossed the opposite side of the road and struck a tree at 4 p.m.

Manigaulte was transported by Huntington Community First Aid Squad to Huntington Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the crash is under investigation.
