Man Punched Someone While Robbing Bar: Suffolk Police

A robbery, an assault, a few DWIs and possession of mushrooms make up some arrests in the Huntington area for the week.

HUNTINGTON, NY–Check out some of the recent arrests made in the Huntington area, from June 6 through June 8.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All incidents are merely accusations, and those accused are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.

  • Arles Sortocontreras, 36, of Huntington Station, allegedly punched a man in the face and pushed him down the stairs at a home on East Ninth Street in Huntington Station, and was arrested and charged with third-degree assault with intent to cause physical injury.
  • Nytiah Germain, 27, of Deer Park, allegedly drove through a stop sign on Route 25 and Thorney Avenue in Huntington Station and was arrested and charged with a DWI on June 8.
  • Jason Conner, 37, of East Moriches, allegedly swerved out of his lane on Broadhollow Road and Melville Park Road and was arrested and charged with a DWI on June 8.
  • Christina Diffley, 22, of Huntington Station, allegedly drove over a curb at New York Avenue and Church Street and was arrested and charged with a DWI on June 8.
  • Jerry Scott, 34, of Brooklyn, allegedly punched someone in the head while trying to steal money from Nag's Head Ale House in Huntington while possessing cocaine. He was arrested and charged with second-degree robbery, forcible touching of intimate parts (details are confidential) and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on June 7.
  • Lori Rieb, 50, of Huntington, allegedly refused to leave the Family Service League, a social service agency at 790 Park Ave. in Huntington, after the housing manager told her to leave. She was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal trespass on June 7.
  • Luis Echevarriavelez, 30, of Huntington Station, allegedly was found with a large amount of mushrooms at his house after a search warrant. He was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (hallucinogens) with intent to sell on June 6.
