Man Seriously Injured After Being Hit By Taxicab: Suffolk Police
The man was hit while crossing the street and was seriously injured on Sunday morning.
HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — A man was seriously injured in a car crash while he was crossing the street in Huntington Station on Sunday morning, the Suffolk County Police Department said.
The man, 47, was walking eastbound, crossing New York Avenue between East 10th Street and East 11th Street, when he was hit by a northbound Universal taxicab, a 2008 Ford sedan, at 1:40 a.m., police said.
Police have not named the victim pending notification of next of kin. Ambulance brought him to Huntington Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Suffolk police have no updates on the man's name or status as of 5:15 p.m. Monday.

The driver of the taxicab, Isabel Bolanos, 53, of Huntington Station, was not injured. The taxicab was impounded for a safety check.
