Here are the top five stories today in Huntington:
- Police continue search for suspects in 2021 Fort Salonga home break-in. A Johnny Unitas card was among items stolen, with two handguns being recovered, police said. Police sent out the burglary cold case early Wednesday and are asking for the public's help on information that may lead to an arrest. (Patch)

- Advocates want Suffolk to designate Coindre Hall as a public nature preserve. The town has plans to knock down trees, add a parking lot, and build a dock. "They want to develop a very fragile and special area against the wishes of the public and they don't have the public's support or our voices at the table," Coindre Hall Park Community President Benn-Galgano said. "What's the push? Why are we doing this? Who wants this? Certainly not 2,000 votes and taxpayers of Suffolk County." (News 12 Long Island)
- Toys For Hope hosts holiday party at Oheka Castle for 200 children. The party hosted underprivileged children who wouldn't normally get to experience the joy of holiday season on Long Island. There was music, dancing, costumed characters and the children got to take photos with Santa. (News 12 Brooklyn)
- A man stole a Havanese puppy from a Huntington Station store. A man walked into Selmer's Pet Land on Tuesday afternoon and put the puppy in his backpack and left the store. Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-221-TIPS. (Huntington Patch)

Are you a Huntington resident looking for an investment alternative to the stock market? Consider fine art. Masterworks is the award-winning platform helping 575,000+ invest in works by the same world-renowned artists that are coveted by ultra-wealthy collectors and major museums alike (think Picasso, Basquiat, and Banksy.) Masterworks splits these multi-million dollar works into shares, so you can invest without breaking the bank.
Contemporary art has outpaced the stock market by a whopping 131% over the last 26 years. Seven of Masterworks’ eight sold paintings gave their investors a +17.8% net returns*.
