Narcan Used to Revive Overdose Victim in Huntington Station
The woman was revived by Huntington Community First Aid Squad on Saturday.

Huntington Community First Aid Squad first responders used the opioid overdose antidote Narcan to revive an unconscious 27-year-old woman Saturday morning in Huntington Station.
According to HCFAS, an ambulance quickly responded to the report of a woman who was not breathing in a basement apartment on New York Avenue, south of Huntington Village, at 11:49 a.m.
Responders used manual ventilation to return oxygen to the woman’s lungs and administered an IV for Naloxone. The woman’s color started to improve within minutes and she began to regain consciousness and start talking again after the heroin antidote was administered, HCFAS reports.
