- Northwell Health, New York's largest hospital system, has begun letting go of employees who are unvaccinated after Gov. Kathy Hogul refused to yield on her Monday deadline. “I’ve made it loud and clear that I’m not going to change my position,” Hochul said during a Monday morning press conference. “I’m charged with protecting the health of all New Yorkers.” Two dozen workers have been let go so far. (New York Post)
- Huntington man charged with selling cocaine. Quentin Mcintosh, 21, of Huntington, sold cocaine on at least four occasions between Aug. 10 and Sept. 21 in Huntington and Huntington Station, police said. He was arrested and charged with four counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance: narcotic drug on Sept. 21. (Huntington Patch)
- A Huntington woman is facing charges in an incident and altercation with police Saturday evening at Harbes Farmstand and Vineyard in Mattituck. 55-year-old Inguna Brigandi kicked two police officers, tried to grab one of the officer's holstered Taser and bit his arm. Police say she was highly intoxicated and causing a big disturbance at the business, which led to police being called. (News 12)
