• Town Board Approves Disposal of Old Equipment, Accepts Vehicle Donations (huntingtonnow.com) — Huntington residents should know the Town Board has accepted two donated vans for General Services and ended the town's role as a DECALS license vendor, since the state now lets people print licenses at home. The board also approved disposing of obsolete town equipment through sale, auction or donation.

• Community Health Fair Set for Sept. 9 (huntingtonnow.com) — Huntington seniors and other residents can get free health screenings and connect with local providers at a Community Health Fair on Sept. 9 at the John J. Flanagan Senior Center on Park Avenue. Running 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the event features hearing, blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol checks plus information on dozens of health and senior services available in Huntington.
