Woman Broke Into Car And Stole Credit Cards; Suffolk Police

Police are looking for the woman who they say broke into a gym locker and a car to steal credit cards.

MELVILLE, NY--Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are seeking the public's help to identify a woman who stole credit cards at a Melville gym this month and used them.

She stole car keys from an unlocked locker at the Planet Fitness at 25 Ruland Road on May 1. She then broke into the vehicle to steal a handbag containing credit cards. The woman used the credit cards at retail stores in the Melville and Huntington Station area. The woman is white, approximately 30-35 years old, has a heavy build and dark hair. She was wearing blue jeans and a black jacket.

Police ask anyone with information about the theft to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, texting "SCPD" and your message to "CRIMES" (274637) or by email at www.tipsubmit.com. A cash reward of up to $5,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
