Portraits For Veterans To Be Hosted At Walt Whitman Shops

SOUTH HUNTINGTON, NY — Portraits for Veterans, an event where portraits have been painted, sketched or created by veterans in an effort to give them to other veterans or their family members, is scheduled for Thursday at Walt Whitman Shops at Center Court in South Huntington, according to a news release.

The portraits are images of scenery and will be featured at Center Court at Walt Whitman for other veterans, family members, etc., to have.

The event is slated to run from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday at 160 Walt Whitman Road.

State Assemblyman Steve Stern is set to attend the event, as well as fellow members of the legislative team, including Tom Ronyane, director of Veteran Affairs, to show their support.
