Protesters March In Huntington Against George Floyd's Killing
Around 200 people protested Wednesday evening in Huntington, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — People gathered Wednesday evening in Huntington to peacefully protest the death of George Floyd. Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was accused in the May 25 death of Floyd and faces a second-degree murder charge, said Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison's office.
Approximately 200 people participated in the demonstration, Suffolk police told Patch. The protest started at the Big H in Huntington, went north through the village and then back up New York Avenue, before returning to the Big H around 6:30 p.m. when it ended. Traffic was shut down on New York Avenue by police.
At one point, the protesters took a knee at the intersection of Main Street and Wall Street, Newsday reported.
