Rabbi Elisa Goldberg, a 1999 graduate of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in Wyncote, PA, will be Kehillath Shalom's rabbi starting with the High Holydays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur in 2016.

Rabbi Goldberg was the first woman ever elected President of the Board of Rabbis of Greater Philadelphia, and she served for five years.

Rabbi Goldberg has years of experience with the Philadelphia Jewish Family and Children’s Service. She has been the director of chaplaincy services at Jewish Family and Children's Service during the past 14 years — as well as the spiritual director for students at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College.

Rabbi Elisa is an accomplished leader dedicated to creating holy communities in a variety of settings through innovative programs, meaningful worship services and pastoral relationships. She has an ability to inspire others and is committed to building vibrant Jewish life that integrates spirituality, learning and social justice. Rabbi Elisa is caring, compassionate and approachable and she brings vision, learning, compassion, and wisdom with her.
