Smoke Shop Employee Charged With Selling Nicotine To Minors: PD

TOWN OF HUNTINGTON, NY - A smoke shop employee was arrested for selling e-liquid nicotine to minors at a business in the Town of Huntington last week, according to Suffolk Police.

In response to community complaints, officers conducted an investigation into the sale of e-liquid nicotine to minors at 14 businesses on Friday night.

Kyung Oh, of Whatever Smoke Shop on 675 East Jericho Turnpike, was charged with second degree unlawfully dealing with a child and issued a notice of violation by the Suffolk County Department of Health, police said.

The following businesses complied, and refused the sale of e-liquid nicotine to minors:

  • Snack Bar Kiosk, Walt Whitman Mall, 160 Walt Whitman Road in Huntington Station
  • Abbey Road Tobacco, 63 Larkfield Road in East Northport
  • Evolve 2 Smoke Shop, 290 Larkfield Road in East Northport
  • Mr. Tobacco, 2031 Jericho Turnpike in East Northport
  • Family Dollar, 301 Larkfield Road in East Northport
  • Evolve Smoke Shop, 2066 Jericho Turnpike in East Northport
  • The Barn, 2020 Jericho Turnpike in East Northport
  • Smoke Vape, 1730D East Jericho Turnpike in Elwood

Oh, 66, of Flushing was issued a field appearance ticket and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.
