"This year’s budget is the finest that I have had the opportunity to help craft; it continues our commitment to educational excellence while recognizing that during these difficult fiscal times, we must be mindful of the burden upon residents," said Laura Carey, vice president of the South Huntington School District Board of Education. "I am so pleased that our District was able to offer a budget without any increase in the property tax levy, as the continuing impacts of the pandemic and inflationary impact on prices have presented unique challenges for taxpayers."
