Three men were rescued by Marine Bureau officers after their boat became disabled near Oyster Bay in Long Island Sound waters Sunday night, police said.
According to authorities, the three Westbury men launched their 16-foot boat from the Oyster Bay boat ramp when their vessel suffered a mechanical failure and began to drift out towards the Long Island Sound at 6 p.m.
The partially submerged boat was located a short time later thanks to a search by Marine 3 and Helicopter 5, police said.
