Street Art & Public Art Worldwide - a discussion with Lucienne Pereira

Mural Artist Lucienne Pereira will provide a visual glimpse on what is happening with the worldwide movement in street art and public art. She will engage attendees in discussion of the differences between the two, content trends and commissioning issues with artists. Examples of art worldwide will be shown and the social context in which they are created will be discussed.

Lucienne Pereira has exhibited her work in Italy, Belgium, Korea, The Netherlands, Boston and New York. She has studied in Universidade Estacio de Sa, Rio de Janeiro, School of Visual Art, Parque Lage, Rio de Janeiro, The Arts Student League in New York and completed her graduate work in Frank Mohr Instituut, Groningen, The Netherlands. Her community projects have been funded by several granting agencies or arts and she has worked on murals with large groups of community members with the help on municipalities and arts agencies.
