- Suffolk Arrest Report: October 2nd. Check out the recent arrests in the area and throughout Long Island in Suffolk County's weekly arrest report. If you have any information regarding a crime, tips or information regarding crimes and drug dealing can be anonymously submitted in a variety of ways and tipsters can receive rewards of up to $5,000. - Northport Firefighters Celebrate Oktoberfest. On Saturday, The Northport Fire Department held a sold-out event for Oktoberfest. There was live music, games, food, axe-throwing, and much more. Volunteers dressed in traditional German clothing, served food and drinks and welcomed visitors to the site. (Huntington Now)
- ICYMI - Bus Service To Remain On Regular Schedule In Huntington. Last week was a whirlwind of emotions for many kids and parents, as Huntington Coach Bus Corp. announced they would be discontinuing their service effective October 8th. News outlets from around the state were at schools throughout the town, but Gov. Kathy Hogul stepped in and ensured the bus service would remain in place by providing emergency assistance. Future options include a new bus company, new drivers, and getting the attorney general involved to help remove barriers allowing school bus drivers be quickly trained and certified. (CBS New York)
