Teen Charged With Stealing 2 Puppies From Huntington Station Pet Store
The 17-year-old shared a photo of the puppies on social media one day after they were reported stolen.

A 17-year-old was arrested Thursday for stealing two 8-week-old puppies from a Huntington Station pet store earlier this week, police said.
According to authorities, two puppies were reported stolen at Selmer’s Pet Land, located at 125 East Jericho Turnpike, at approximatley 11 a.m. on Monday.
A post that was shared over a thousand times on Facebook said two young adults, a male and a female, entered the pet store and left with a brown and white male Boston Terrier and a female black and white Yorkshire Terrier. (See below for photos)
Following an investigation, the Syosset teen was arrested and charged with third degree grand larceny for allegedly stealing the puppies from the pet store. The girl even posted a picture of the two puppies on her VSCO account on Tuesday afternoon with the caption, “loving puppies.” A second post shows a photo shared Wednesday morning of the Yorkshire Terrier she may have named “Channel.”
A representative from Selmer’s Pet Land told Patch on Wednesday the puppies were located unharmed. “We’re just happy they’re safe,” the representative said.
