  1. Warming center open through Saturday in Town of Huntington. With the frigid air forecasted for the next few days and wind chills projected as a low as -15 degrees , there will be relief. The warming center will be open from noon until midnight today and tomorrow at The Clark Gillies Dix Hills Ice Rink. (Patch)
  2. Two women arrested and charged with prostitution at Huntington massage parlor. After several community complaints, Second Precinct officers investigated New York Angel Spa, located at 856 E. Jericho Turnpike. Yanping Wang, 35, of Coram, and Lingxia Qi, 35, of Flushing, were each charged with prostitution (a misdemeanor) and unauthorized practice of a profession (a felony). The business was shut down by the Town of Huntington due to numerous violations. (Huntington Patch)
  3. Teen hit by car while riding in January succumbs from injuries. Benjamin Daggett, 16, of Syosset, was riding his bicycle on Jan. 15 at 10:46 a.m., heading northbound on South Oyster Bay Road when he was hit by a 2017 Nissan. He suffered severe head trauma and was pronounced dead on Wednesday. (Patch)
