Woman Used $4,000 In Counterfeit Bills At Walt Whitman Shops: Police

She used the counterfeit currency to make a purchase at Saks Fifth Avenue, police say.

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help finding the woman who police said used counterfeit currency at a Huntington Station store in March.

A women used $4,000 in counterfeit $100 bills to make a purchase at Saks Fifth Avenue, in the Walt Whitman Shops, around 11:30 a.m. March 10, police said. She is wanted on a charge of using counterfeit currency.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
