Special Guest Speaker – Rosette Priever Fishman Gerbosi

Rosette Priever Fishman Gerbosi was born in Paris, France, and is the daughter of Jewish-Polish immigrants. In 1943, her parents, fearing the imminent arrest by the Nazis of Jews in Paris, sent her at the age of 10 to hide with a Christian family in the south of France. She remained hidden in the town of Piegut, Dordogne, for 1½ years, living as a Catholic. Her parents were taken by the Nazis three weeks after her departure from Paris and sent to the Auschwitz concentration camp.
