YOUNG REPUBLICANS NAME LUPINACCI “ASSEMBLYMAN OF THE YEAR”
The New York State Young Republicans have chosen Chad A. Lupinacci as their 2016 Assemblyman of the Year. The recognition comes shorty after Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission and launched an exploratory committee website for a Congressional run in 2016. Lupinacci would seek New York’s Third Congressional District, a seat which is currently held by Steve Israel (D — Huntington). Lupinacci is to be recognized alongside Congressman of the Year, Dan Donovan, and Senator of the Year, Majority Leader John J. Flanagan.

“I am flattered that the New York State Young Republicans have chose me as a 2016 Teddy Roosevelt Award Winner. A group of millennials who are truly committed to securing America’s future, I am proud to be New York Young Republicans’ choice and champion in the New York State Assembly,” Lupinacci said. “I would also like to congratulate my fellow award-winners and colleagues, Congressman Dan Donovan and Senate Majority Leader John J. Flanagan, for their tireless efforts to bring real results to our nations problems and prosperity back to New York State,” Lupinacci said.
Lupinacci currently represents the Tenth Assembly District in the New York State Assembly. He was elected to the Assembly in 2012 and re-elected in 2014 by wide margins. The Tenth Assembly District includes the Town of Huntington and parts of the Town of Babylon. The Tenth Assembly District is a microcosm of New York’s Third Congressional District as it is economically, politically, cultural, and ethnically diverse. In the Assembly, Chad is the Ranking Minority Member on the Committee on Higher Education and a member of the Committee on Transportation, the Committee on Judiciary, and the Committee on Tourism, Parks, Arts and Sports Development.
