Jamestown Man Held After East Side Domestic Incident (wnynewsnow.com) — A Jamestown man was arrested after police responded to a reported domestic incident on the city's East Side early Sunday, where a victim had head injuries. Officers say the 44-year-old was taken to Jamestown City Jail and faces a third-degree assault charge, with arraignment in Jamestown City Court pending and innocence presumed until proven otherwise.
   

3. Jamestown Woman Charged After Narcotics Search on Lister Street (wnynewsnow.com) — Police say a Jamestown woman was arrested after narcotics detectives and sheriff's investigators searched a Lister Street home and reported finding fentanyl, crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia. The 58-year-old faces multiple felony possession and paraphernalia charges, is being held for Jamestown City Court arraignment, and residents are urged to share drug tips with Jamestown police or the county sheriff's office.
   

4. Homeless man charged with St. Susan Center refrigeration unit destruction (post-journal.com) — St. Susan Center in Jamestown is dealing with the fallout after its outdoor cooling system was destroyed in August, spoiling nearly $4,900 worth of perishable food meant for local residents. Police say video and tips led to a homeless Jamestown man being charged with criminal mischief and possession of stolen property, with the case now in Jamestown City Court.
   

5. October 2026 Opportunities: Open Calls, Residencies, and Grants for Artists (thisiscolossal.com) — Artists in Jamestown can apply for a weeklong paid residency at the Roger Tory Peterson Institute, including housing and a solo show the following year. The broader roundup also lists dozens of upcoming grants, festivals, and residencies worldwide and in New York City, with deadlines running through December for visual artists, filmmakers, performers, and students.
