Teen Hit By Car Was Playing Game Involving Water Pistols: Police
The high school senior was "engaged in a game" with his fellow classmates when he was struck by the car in a parking lot, police say.

KINGS PARK, NY - The 18-year-old critically injured after being struck by a car was playing a game in the parking lot of a Kings Park business, according to Suffolk Police.
Charles Tumminello, of Kings Park was in the parking lot of Key Food on 66 Indian Head Road when he was struck by a 2001 Lexus sedan driven by an 18-year-old Nina Lisske, of Kings Park at 10 p.m., police said.
Tumminello was transported by Kings Park Rescue ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital where he is in critical condition.

Lisske was not injured and remained at the scene. She was issued a summons for reckless driving, police said.
According to police, the two Kings Park High School seniors were "engaged in a game involving water pistols."

The game, called “senior assassin," is played by the seniors who are all assigned a "target" with a water gun, News12 reports.
“They were driving in circles and shooting water guns at each other,” witness Matt Pond told News12. “He was jumping in one direction. And she was turning in the same direction...She obviously didn't mean to hit him.”
