• First New State Park Swimming Facility in More Than 20 Years (newyorkalmanack.com) — Kingston residents now have a major new place to cool off: Lake Sophia, the expansive swimming facility at Sojourner Truth State Park, open daily 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Labor Day weekend. Located at 100 Sojourner Truth Way in Kingston, the spring-fed quarry lake features accessible swim areas, a new bathhouse, and is part of a larger park expansion finishing in 2027.

What your neighbors are talking about on social media
- I have a little tribe of chickadees that follow us around the yard looking for handouts.
I have to carry my little plate whenever I go to the garden or do something outside, because at least one of them makes it known it's snack time! (Nextdoor West Kingston) - It would be nice to have a park with a section dedicated to working out.
Just the basic things like a pull up/dip bar. Theres a lot of jogging trails but it seems like Hudson Valley doesn't want us to get our muscle up… (Nextdoor Ward Six)
