The LMBA playoffs run March 2-17, with 78 total teams competing for various division championships.
“The growth of the program has been phenomenal, and this year’s record registration puts an exclamation point on it. As our community’s only open-registration, widely accessible basketball program, it’s great to see the involvement grow year by year, and to see the community respond to our emphasis on participation and sportsmanship,” noted LMBA President Matt Jacobs.

“Youth basketball is a bit fragmented in many neighboring communities, with CYO and travel teams serving some but not all families,” he added. “It’s great to be able to provide a program that includes all families.”
The LMBA is a volunteer-run organization that relies heavily upon local parents to coach and also manage the league operations. Friendly cooperation from the local school administrations including the Mamaroneck and Rye Neck school districts have helped ensure the local community has access to facilities.
“We take great pride in making the LMBA one the most affordable community outlets for the kids,” said Rich Golden, LMBA registrar.
“I was thrilled to see us eclipse 1,200 kids playing this year because it shows that our outreach efforts, including our scholarship program, is a success.”
