The following account of the first few days of Chinese exchange students from Shanghai Experimental School attending and leading classes at Mamaroneck High School is from school officials:
Mamaroneck High School has been hosting Chinese exchange students this week from our sister school in Shanghai -- Shanghai Experimental School -- and so far, it has been a fantastic visit!!! Check out MUFSD’s facebook page for photos and watch the following video clips:
- MHS’s students who take Chinese singing for their guests during a special welcome ceremony Wednesday afternoon in the Tiered Classroom. Just prior to this, the MHS drum corps, the Force, and the cheerleaders, along with a crowd gathered at the high school, greeted the students as they arrived by bus. Click here for video.
- Exchange students helping to lead a 9th grade Mandarin class. During their visit, the Shanghai Experimental School students have attended classes with MHS students and, in this video, helped lead a 9th grade Mandarin class. It has been wonderful to see how at ease the students seem to be with each other. Click here for video.

While in NY, the students have been touring Manhattan, visiting West Point and immersing themselves in the culture here at MHS. MHS families have been hosting the students in their homes and look forward to spending the weekend with them. A group of our students will travel to China this spring and see many of these same students.
