District 3S Bowling Social

District 3S gathered for an afternoon full of bowling, networking and giving back to our community!

On Saturday December 12, members of District 3S of New York State FBLA were invited to attend the district social. The social was planned by the 2015-2016 Event Planner, Carly Rankin. Carly chose the event’s theme of bowling, which was a huge hit. Members from the Mamaroneck chapter, Lakeland Chapter and John-jay High School Chapter were all in attendance at Bowlmor, in White Plains, NY. Over fifteen people from all over the district gathered for two hours to network, bowl, and give back to our state charity, The Wounded Warrior Project.

Members were divided randomly into three bowling alleys, allowing people to talk with students from other schools. A goal of the 2015-2016 year is to grow closer and stronger as a district and the social was one of many ways we are working to achieve this goal. Fun was had by all, as friendly competition was seen across the lanes. In addition to bowling, everyone wrote cards to wounded warriors, to support our state charity. Notes were thoughtful, and wishful for the soldiers to have a happy holidays.

The first district social was a huge success, and we hope everyone will come for our second one so it can be an even greater success!
