Frankie & Fanucci's Wood Oven Pizzeria Helps One of its Own
Frankie & Fanucci's steps in to help one of its cooks who lost everything in a devastating fire in New Rochelle.
In a split second, everything they owned was gone. Last Saturday, in the middle of the night, a fire ignited inside a house on Lockwood Avenue in New Rochelle. Inside, Yuliana Gomez and her 18-month-old daughter, Esmeralda, managed to get out alive with just the clothes on their backs. Yuliana happens to work as a cook at Frankie & Fanucci's Wood Oven Pizzeria in Mamaroneck. Despite the devastating fire, Yuliana reported to work the next day.
The fire happened the same weekend Frankie & Fanucci’s opened their new 'pour your own' craft beer and wine Taproom. Now, Frankie & Fanucci's is using that Taproom to help Yuliana and Esmeralda get back on their feet by giving them 30% of their sales this Wednesday, September 7th. If you like wood-fired pizza and pouring your own beer and wine, stop in this Wednesday to check it out.
