MAMARONECK, NY — When two youngsters decided, nearly two decades ago, to do something to help others they couldn't have known the challenges they would face or just how very successful they would end up being at achieving their goals.

Mamaroneck residents Evan and Joshua Greenberg started their Hot Cocoa Stand for charity in their garage 17 years ago, at the ages of 5 and 3, and nothing has slowed them down since. There were snowstorms, hurricanes, the flu and COVID-19, the brothers explain. But no matter what, Evan and Joshua were there to deliver hot cocoa to raise money for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation. In fact, they have raised over $70,000 since the stand's inception.

"It's great to be able to talk to people again about our great cause and see them enjoy the hot cocoa and baked goods," said Evan Greenberg, co-founder, and soon-to-be college graduate/law school student.

"I’ve been doing this for most of my life and nothing beats knowing that we are giving money to help sick kids get better," said Josh Greenberg, 19 and a college sophomore, majoring in Investment Banking at Indiana University’s Kelly School of Business.
