Joe Carvin to Lead the 2026 Sound Shore St. Patrick’s Day Parade
The annual Parade celebrates Irish-American heritage and the American immigrant experience, uniting the Sound Shore community
Mamaroneck, NY: The Sound Shore St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee proudly announces that Joe Carvin of Port Chester, NY has been named the 2026 Parade Grand Marshal. Mr. Carvin will have the honor of leading the Parade as its 14th official Grand Marshal on Sunday, March 22, 2026, in Mamaroneck, NY.
A respected community leader with a distinguished global career, Carvin embodies the spirit of service, leadership, and cultural pride that the Parade celebrates each year.

Joe Carvin has lived and worked on five continents, speaks five languages, and built a three-decade career in emerging-markets finance before transitioning into public service and global education.
His finance career included senior roles at Manufacturers Hanover Trust and Deutsche Bank, and later as a founding partner of Altima Partners, where he helped raise and manage a $700 million global agriculture fund investing across four continents.

Carvin is the Founder and Executive Director of One World United and Virtuous, a global education nonprofit operating in 200 classrooms across 10 countries. Through innovative cross-border learning programs, he works to prepare young people for the opportunities and challenges of the 21st century by cultivating leaders of character and fostering global cooperation.
His commitment to public service includes serving as the youngest project manager for United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Senegal and as Town Supervisor of the Town of Rye, where he implemented reforms that improved services while significantly reducing costs and taxes. Elected as a Trustee of the Village of Port Chester in 2022, he continues to serve his community with dedication.
Carvin holds degrees from Harvard Kennedy School, NYU Stern School of Business, and Tulane University, and is the proud father of three children.

Joe Carvin will be formally honored with the official Grand Marshal Sash at the annual Hearts & Shamrocks Party on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Hampshire Country Club.
He joins a distinguished list of past Grand Marshals—remarkable Sound Shore citizens who have generously contributed to the welfare of the community in countless charitable ways, including 2025 Grand Marshal Matt MacCauley.

The Sound Shore St. Patrick's Day Parade celebrates Irish-American heritage and the American immigrant experience, uniting the Sound Shore community from Port Chester to The Pelhams. In addition to honoring cultural tradition, the Parade supports local education through its Scholarship Fund, which has awarded more than $60,000 in scholarships to deserving Sound Shore students.
