Larchmont Drafts Local Laws to Deal with Residential Construction
The proposed legislation includes size limitations and setbacks.

LARCHMONT, NY — The debate continues in the Village of Larchmont over how to protect its historic character.
The issue is to make certain new homes aren’t “McMansions” but fit in with the rest of the village, according to an article in the Journal News.
Offiicals have drafted local laws that would, among other things, increase setbacks and set lot-size limits.

The village has a moratorium in place on residential development, which was appealed by KOSL Building Group.
That developer wanted to tear down a home on Ocean Avenue and replace it with four structures.
